The Animation Formation and Free Education (AFFE) Network is an association for Information Media Education (IME) that fights for good Internet practices and offers various professional trainings around information media. It also supports the socio-cultural artistic practices of the associations in Tours. We're 30 members in all with 16 people to run the association and 14 people to give courses at the Code School on a permanent basis as well as 2 people who do replacements in the latter. The office of the Animation Formation et Free Education (AFFE) Network is composed of:
-Lisa Pons, president;
-Louis Ravaud, treasurer;
-David Ebissou, communication manager;
-Isabelle Petit, secretary;
-Jean-Luc Picot, certified accountant.
We lost Jean-Yves Antoine, founder of the Animation Formation and Free Education (AFFE) on February, 24th, 2021. He created this network so that programming would be accessible to everyone regardless of income, professional background and personal problems (behavioral dependencies, petty crimes and drug addictions). He had faith in humanity and sincerely believed that he could rescue those who were lost in their lives and put them back on the right path thanks to the teaching of programming done with awareness of the risks it can generate, rigor and generosity. We can all have him in our hearts and he always guides our actions in the association for the good of all.
The Animation Formation and Free Education (AFFE) Network has a code school for specific audiences in retraining (during the day) and everyone wishing to make the best use of computer tools (on evening courses). All our contact information is at the bottom of the page. Please contact us by email.
Here are some definitions:
-Network animation consists mainly in managing partnerships and collaborations with profit and non-profit organizations. We draw on the expertise of associations such as 2025, Ex-machina for the media and Animafac for association management. We bring a certain expertise in educational content in computer programming and training of associations in digital communication, digital watch and analysis of professional practices.
-Associative journalism consists in making web reports on the events of organizational or/and associative structures. We collect information from the publications of associations such as L'âge de faire, scientific magazines of the Institut National des Études Démographiques (INED) or the Institut National de la Jeunesse et de l'Éducation Populaire (INJEP) as well as independent media such as La Rotative or Fil d'Actu, HugoDécrypte, Osons Causer/Osons Comprendre without counting the Youtube channels of scientific popularization. We try to apply the principles of zetetics or the basics of critical thinking.
-Information Media Education (IME) is a very specific field. With the example of some Youtube channels of scientific popularization like Science Étonnante held by David Louapre or Mental Hygiene of Christophe Michel, newspapers and magazines, we show that we must use our critical mind or Zetetics, the science of intellectual self-defense in everyday life. We also use Bayes' law, we approach the evidence in a scientific way.
-Vocational training is a branch of study aimed at adults undergoing professional retraining or continuing education in the context of their work. Supported by funding organizations and/or by the employer, training is ideal for maintaining and/or developing certain skills, either transversal or specific. The latter can be done either during individual training leave (CIF), during working hours, or outside working hours. It is done by instructors, facilitators, trainers or/and other categories of speakers.
